The bodies of five hostages have been found in the Mumbai Jewish center, an Israeli Foreign Ministry official said today. Police say they are in the final stages of wrapping up the operation at the center. At least 146 people, including eight foreigners, have been killed since gunmen sailed into Mumbai on boats on Wednesday and attacked nine locations.

In 1984 the US won more than 60 more gold metals than China. Since then the Chinese government has been working to develop more athletes that can perform on the world stage. Like China's economy, their ability to compete has risen enormously since 1984. While in recent years China has narrowed the gap, this year many think they will surpass the US.

it could be a lot lesser.
we are host nation this time, naturally I think it's won't be hard to win most gold metals. Last time in Athens, we already won 32 gold, only two less than U.S., with a little "spare capacity" in diving and gymnastics.
Although, honestly, it's should be hosting a happy and safe game the most importance this time. I believe we can win no more than 2 gold at last, if it dosen't, I won't be disappointed at all.
By the way, I admire that US has great advantages in major fields of the game, expecially in Swimming and Athletics, that show those sports are popular in the country.
